‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is heading to streaming after its successful theatrical run. The Sony Pictures blockbuster, which hit cinemas on July 31, 2026, is already available for rent but, viewers looking to watch the film for free will have to wait for its Netflix release.
When is ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ coming to Netflix?
Following its theatrical release, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ made its digital debut on October 6, with the film being released as a premium video-on-demand (PVOD) title, allowing viewers to rent or purchase it through major digital platforms, including Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango and Sony Pictures Core.In the US, the digital release went live at 12 am ET on October 6, or 9 pm PT on October 5.The film is priced at USD 29.99 to buy and USD 24.99 to rent on platforms including Prime Video and Apple TV.

While Netflix is a subscription-based streaming service, subscribers will be able to watch it as part of their existing membership without having to pay a separate rental or purchase fee.Sony’s film is expected to become one of the biggest non-Netflix original movies to arrive on the platform. Its OTT run could also benefit from the huge popularity of the Spider-Man franchise and the film’s strong theatrical performance.The December streaming release is particularly well-timed, with the film arriving just a week ahead of the theatrical release of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, which hits cinemas worldwide on December 18. Although there is no connection between the two films, Tom Holland was announced to make his return to the Avengers franchise, along with Florence Pugh, after their brief scene together in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’.The superhero will also likely cross paths with Mark Ruffalo’s the Hulk, who will also feature in the film. Rumours are rife about Charlie Cox’s Daredevil also featuring in the ensemble cast, after he was last seen playing Peter Parker‘s lawyer in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.
