A home tour shared by real estate content creator Priyam Saraswat on Instagram is giving photography enthusiasts plenty to admire. The video features “Click,” a one-of-a-kind home in Karnataka owned by a photographer who transformed his decades-long passion for cameras into the design of his residence.Instead of merely embellishing the structure with cameras, the whole household design is infused with photography from the very outset. Right from camera-shaped windows, railing ideas inspired by film rolls, and photography-centric interiors, everything about the place speaks volumes about the owner’s profession and passion. In the video, the homeowner introduces himself by saying, “I am a photographer. I am very passionate about photography.” He then introduces the person who helped bring the vision to life, saying, “He is my sister’s husband. He made this.”Speaking about the house, the photographer tells viewers, “The house is named ‘Click.'” As he points to a collection of cameras displayed as décor, he says, “These are my cameras,” before sharing that he has been involved in photography for the past 30 years.

As the home tour progresses, the photographer’s brother-in-law explains how photography inspired several architectural features of the house.Pointing towards the kitchen window, he says, “From outside, it looks like a camera lens,” explaining that the circular design was intentionally created to resemble a camera’s most recognisable feature. The photographer also focuses on the balcony railing, claiming it was created in the style of old camera film, adding to the home elements that recall the time before digital cameras. The staircase continues this concept. The messages devoted to photography and photos are placed on each stair of the house. His passion for photography can also be seen through the names they have given to their children. On the tour, he explains that their children are named Canon, Nikon, and Epson, based on popular names related to cameras and imaging devices. The children’s names are also prominently displayed on the home’s exterior. There is a window in the kids’ bedroom that resembles the flash of a camera. Furthermore, there is a Google Photos logo on the ceiling of one of the guest rooms. Additionally, one room features an icon resembling a camera’s settings. Moreover, even the window grill designs adhere to the camera theme to preserve the uniqueness of the house.

The house also features a terrace garden, providing an open space while continuing the overall design concept. Looking at the building from the front, the photographer explains that the facade resembles a strip of photographic film, making the photography theme visible from the exterior as well. The homeowner also shares the challenges they encountered while trying to build such an unconventional residence. According to him, they approached several engineers with the concept, but the engineers declined to build such a home. Instead of abandoning the idea, the family decided to create the design themselves. He explains in the video that he and his family personally designed the home, ensuring every detail reflected the photographer’s passion and their shared vision. The result is a residence where architecture and photography blend seamlessly. Rather than treating cameras as decorative objects alone, the family has incorporated photographic elements into the home’s structure, interiors and finishing touches, creating a space that is both personal and distinctive.
