Here’s the month the movie could drop

Demon Slayer Infinity Castle came out on 18th July 2025, and since then, people have been waiting to watch the second part. Anime fans have been waiting with bated breath to witness what happens next in the ongoing arc. It was officially announced that part 2 will come in 2027, but no specific date has been released yet. However, if rumours are anything to go by, then the makers have already set a month for the film’s release. Here’s what we know about the speculation.

​Demon Slayer Infinity Castle release update

​According to an X account that shares updates about anime, Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Part 2 might release in July 2027. The movie will, of course, first release in Japan and then have a worldwide release later, as it generally happens. The month of release, however, is still pretty much a rumour, and the makers have not confirmed it yet.

​The Infinity Castle arc

​The Infinity Castle arc is the final arc of the manga, and it shows the fight between the Demon Slayer Corps and Muzan. The arc starts with Muzan infiltrating the Ubuyashiki residence and then is confronted by Kagaya Ubuyashiki. Muzan then goes on to summon the Demon Slayer Corps into the Infinity Castle. Major battles that feature in the arc are Shinobu vs Doma, Zenitsu Agatsuma vs Kaigaku, Tanjiro Kamado & Giyu Tomioka vs Akaza, Muichiro Tokito, Sanemi Shinazugawa, Gyomei Himejima & Genya Shinazugawa vs Kokushibo and more.​
After Infinity Castle comes the Sunrise Countdown arc, the final part of the manga. In this after the castle collapses, the demon slayers that survive will face Muzan so that they can keep him alive till sunrise, and then he could die eventually.​

The upcoming movie is going to be the second part of the trilogy.​

What did part 1 cover?​

Part 1 of the movie starts right after the Hashira Training Arc. Muzan makes a move against the Corps, which leads Tanjiro and others to be pulled inside the Infinity Castle. Part 1 is mostly about the confrontations between the Corps and the Upper-Rank demons.​

The second movie is expected to be way grander in terms of animation and storyline, and fans are waiting to see what’s in store for them.
