Producer Ekta Ravi Kapoor has leased out a floor in her Juhu property in Mumbai for a monthly rent of Rs 1.5 lakh. The rented unit is situated in Ekta House, a four-storey building in Juhu. As per the registered documents, the leased floor also includes one dedicated car parking space.The leave and licence agreement is effective from March 1, 2025, to February 28, 2027, with the monthly licence fee fixed at Rs 1.5 lakh. Although the agreement commenced in 2025, it was officially registered on July 28, 2026. The transaction was executed through a two-year leave and licence agreement, according to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix. The documents further reveal that the tenant has issued postdated cheques covering the entire duration of the lease.This is not the first time Ekta Kapoor, the daughter of veteran actor Jeetendra, has rented out a portion of the same property. In 2021, she leased another floor in Ekta House for Rs 2.7 lakh per month under a 24-month leave-and-licence agreement. That deal, registered on September 3, 2021, reportedly included a security deposit of ₹10 lakh along with a one-year lock-in period.The Kapoor family has consistently been among the most active names in Mumbai’s premium real estate market, completing several high-value transactions over the years.In June 2025, Jeetendra Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor sold a 2,149 sq ft apartment in ‘Omkar 1973’ in Worli for Rs 12.25 crore, translating to approximately Rs 57,003 per sq ft. The apartment also came with two car parking spaces.A month earlier, in May 2025, Jeetendra Kapoor and his family completed the sale of a 2.39-acre land parcel in Andheri to NTT Global Data Centres for ₹855 crore through their family-owned companies Pantheon Buildcon Pvt Ltd and Tusshar Infra Developers Pvt Ltd. Registered on May 29, 2025, the transaction was reported to be the highest-value real estate deal involving a Bollywood family that year. The land housed Balaji IT Park, comprising three buildings with a total built-up area of nearly 4.9 lakh sq ft.Earlier, in 2021, Ekta Kapoor and her mother, Shobha Kapoor, sold a plot in Pune to family-owned firms Tusshar Infradevelopers and Pantheon Buildcon for ₹20 crore. The agreement was signed on March 31, 2021, and registered on August 2, 2021. Stamp duty amounting to Rs 80 lakh was paid for the transaction.Jeetendra has long been recognised for his successful investments in Mumbai real estate. The veteran actor recently recalled buying a bungalow in Pali Hill from late actor Bharat Bhushan decades ago for just Rs 4.25 lakh. According to media reports, the property’s current value is estimated at around Rs 450 crore. Jeetendra also revealed that after the bungalow was redeveloped, the Burma teak wood from the property alone fetched ₹11.5 lakh—almost three times the amount he had originally paid for the entire bungalow.
