The actor recently sat down for an interview with Esquire, where he opened up about fatherhood and being a parent. Showing photos of him donned in pink makeup, the actor shared a joke that while he may complain a lot about it, he loves every second of it. He added, “It’s my greatest joy; I love doing this. My favourite thing today about being a dad is just having such a great connection with all of my daughters.”On top of that, he also weighed in on what it was like for him to be a father at an early age, stating that he and his first daughter, Simone, “grew up together.” He added, “At that time in my life, I was just flying by the seat of my pants, and I had no clue what I was doing. I’m trying to figure myself out, and my first daughter is two, three, four, five, six years old; those are very critical ages for you to be around, but I always like to say that we grew up together, her and I.”For the unversed, the actor is father to three daughters: Simone, Jasmine, and Tiana.
Dwayne Johnson on what he loves the most about being a father
The actor further joked about one instance in his life that makes him love being a father even more. He shared that his daughters know to come to him when their mother says no to them. He shared, “What I also love about being a dad is when their mom says no to something, they know, come to me. ‘I’ll show you that I love you more than your mom.’”In the caption for the post he made about the interview, the actor wrote, “Sometimes us men are still trying to figure ourselves out, while at the same time, trying to figure out how to be a great dad to our little babies.”
