Diljit Dosanjh EXPLAINS why his Bihar concert did NOT happen; says authorities asked him to take responsibility for crowd management

Diljit Dosanjh has revealed that his plans to perform in Bihar could not move forward because of disagreements over crowd management responsibilities. The Punjabi singer said the authorities wanted him to take responsibility for handling the audience. However, he believed that the responsibility should lie with the administration.Speaking during an Instagram Live session after his Delhi concert, Diljit Dosanjh said his team had attempted to organize a show in Bihar previously as well. The plans remained unsuccessful because of concerns about managing the large crowds expected at the event. He explained that organizing a concert of that scale required extensive logistical arrangements.

Diljit Dosanjh explains why Bihar concert did not happen

Recalling the discussions surrounding the proposed performance, Diljit Dosanjh said the authorities had asked whether he would take responsibility for managing the crowd. He explained why he could not agree to that arrangement. “We tried to go to Bihar; we had attempted to go to Bihar last time as well. But they said it was difficult to manage the crowd. They asked if we would take responsibility for it. I said that we couldn’t; they would have to take that responsibility. Since they didn’t, we couldn’t go.” The singer also pointed out that crowd management at a major concert was not a simple task. He said the arrangements required for such an event were comparable to those involved in organizing a large show in the national capital. “You see, it’s difficult to manage the crowd. It’s not just a small gathering; it’s a massive crowd. I had to consider the logistics; it’s like organising an event in Delhi,” said Diljit Dosanjh.

Singer speaks about challenges surrounding Delhi concert

Diljit Dosanjh’s comments came after he performed at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 30. The concert marked the beginning of his Aura India Tour 2026. During the Instagram Live session, he also spoke about the difficulties surrounding the event and claimed that some people had tried to prevent it from taking place.“I even had a direct word with God about this! I spoke to Him over the phone. I told Him, ‘There’s a show coming up…’ Some people really tried hard to make sure the show wouldn’t happen!”

Diljit Dosanjh hopes rain stays away during performance

The singer also addressed the weather conditions in Delhi and expressed hope that rain would not disrupt the concert. He thanked his fans for their continued support and said he did not want to spend time responding to his critics.“May God hold back the rain for three to four hours. Love my fans! I don’t bother responding to what many people say because I don’t consider them worth my time. Don’t you worry, we’re going to absolutely crush it,” he said.

Delhi Police initially denied permission for the show

The Delhi concert had faced uncertainty before it eventually took place. Delhi Police had initially denied permission for the October 30 event, citing security concerns during the festive season. The decision reportedly disappointed several fans who had already purchased tickets.
