Jonathan Melendez, a Mexican rock musician, was reportedly found dead, along with members of his family, in a horrifying death case that has rattled the industry.According to a report on CNN, Melendez, a 35-year-old keyboardist for indie rock band Camilo Septimo, was reportedly shot dead, along with his pregnant wife, Ana Paula, their young daughter and her 21-year-old nanny, inside their upscale home in Mexico City. According to the report, citing the Mexico Attorney General’s Office, Ana was 4 months pregnant at the time of her death.Gruesome details about the execution-style killing were made public by the Attorney General. As per the report, 3 of the victims, including the daughter, were shot in the backs of their heads, while a fourth victim was shot in the back. Two of the victims’ hands had also been tied.The family’s dog was also found dead ‘with its legs bound’, read the report. A 6-year-old boy was found unharmed at the scene.“It is indeed a very sad, truly deplorable situation,” the president, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo said during her morning press conference. “Arrests have already been made, and the cause is known: a dispute the family had with another family — something that even appeared in the media. Support is being provided to the families.”In a statement shared on their social media, the members of Camilo Séptimo mourned the loss of their bandmate and bid farewell to his family in an emotional tribute post. “We will always remember Honas with immense love and gratitude,” the band stated. “Today we honour and celebrate his life, his music, his light and the time shared with those of us fortunate enough to know him and walk the path alongside him.”Police have reportedly taken two men into custody in connection with the murders. Prosecutors say one suspect used his relationship with one of the victims to enter the home.
