Tori Spelling’s post on gratitude: What happened and what she said
Per People, the terrifying car crash happened just days before Easter and shook up her fans, who flooded her with concern. But it also showed how tough Spelling is, as she handled a real-life nightmare with grit.On April 2, she and a group of eight, four of her own kids and three friends, were driving in Temecula, about 80 miles from LA, when another car barreled through a red light, smashed into them, and spun their vehicle out. Spelling jumped on Instagram on April 7 to explain what went down and how everyone’s doing. She’s got five kids with her ex, Dean McDermott: Liam (19), Stella (17), Hattie (14), Finn (13), and Beau (9).“We are so grateful and so lucky, because it could have been so much worse,” Spelling said. “I’m just really grateful that in a split second, guardian angels were definitely with us that day.”She remembered seeing the other car coming fast from the right, “speeding, going crazy, crazy fast,” and she turned hard left as quickly as she could, trying to protect the kids.“In a split second, I looked to my right, and I saw he was coming full on, full impact into the side of our car,” Spelling recalled. “I turned hard left, as hard as I could, as fast as I could, to avoid as much impact on the children as possible.”The impact still spun their car, but her instinct mattered.Spelling also thanked the first responders, the Inland Valley and Wildomar teams, who took care of everyone. She said, “I’m grateful to everyone who has reached out and repeatedly checked on us and offered to do whatever we needed to get us through this and all the blessings everyone has sent.” After everything, the ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ alum concluded by admitting she’s “still putting [her] thoughts together about everything that happened,” but she has “so much gratitude for life and the bravery of all of the kids in the car with what they went through.“As for the post-accident care, the outlet reported that everyone got checked out for cuts, bruises, contusions, and concussions. However, nothing was life-threatening. In the days since, Spelling shared that she and the kids have been healing physically and emotionally. They’re shaken, but stable. As for the accident, the authorities are still looking into the crash, especially the speeding driver. However, nobody’s been arrested yet.
