ETimes review of the film

ETimes gave Oh Sukumari 2 out of 5 stars. The review appreciated the performances of the lead actors despite pointing out the film’s shortcomings. The review read, “Thiruveer delivers a restrained performance, bringing sincerity to Yadagiri’s innocent and likeable nature despite the character being underwritten. Aishwarya Rajesh, too, makes the most of a role that offers limited scope, although it is refreshing to see Damini written with agency rather than as a conventional heroine. Jhansi provides some of the film’s most entertaining moments, adding warmth and humour whenever she appears.
